About

I am more interested in what is underneath than in what is announced.

I am Ruchika. I work with parents and teenagers, mostly on the same thing wearing different clothes: the distance that grows when people stop feeling understood.

The journey

Chapters, not a career ladder

At home

Two sons, and an education no course could give

I learned first as a mother. Children do not need to be managed, they need to be understood. When a parent changes the way they listen, a teenager changes the way they speak.

The last two years

Sitting with parents and teenagers

Some came for conversation and coaching. Others came for a reading first, because clarity felt more urgent than advice. Both doors led to the same room.

Study and practice

Learning the languages of pattern

[Add your verified training, certifications and years of practice here. This block is designed to hold two or three sentences.]

Now

Building VELARA

A quieter body of work about the unseen patterns within, and how noticing them changes what someone does next.

Perspective

“Children do not need to be managed. They need to be understood. When a parent changes the way they listen, a teenager changes the way they speak.”

That sentence took me years of ordinary evenings to learn, not a certificate. It is the centre of how I work: notice the pattern, name it kindly, and then choose differently in the next conversation rather than in some future version of your life.

What I care about

Four things I keep returning to

Being heard

Most people are not asking to be agreed with. They are asking to be understood first.

Language at home

The exact words a parent uses at 9pm decide what kind of evening follows.

Saying the hard thing kindly

Silence is often mistaken for keeping the peace. It is usually just habit.

Practice over theory

A small change kept for a month is worth more than a large insight kept for a day.

Beyond work

A life outside the sessions

[Add a short personal paragraph here: what you read, cook, walk, collect, or do on a Sunday. Two or three sentences is plenty, and it belongs in your own words.]
